Fay Taylor, Author of "Steel"
STEEL is the inspiring memoir of a woman whose faith and courage have helped her to remain as strong as steel while fighting back from severe spinal cord injuries. Author Fay Taylor will discuss STEEL at the Windsor Locks Public Library, on Tuesday April 9 at 6:30 PM. Her story is one of triumph over adversity, of a tragic fall from a horse in 1989 that resulted in a broken back and a changed life. Her story will be an inspiration to all who live with or care for someone with spinal cord injuries. Join us to meet Fay Taylor and hear, in her own words, the story of her rollercoaster ride from the depths of despair to triumphant heights and back again. Copies of STEEL will be available for sale and signing after the program. Please call the library at 860-627-1495 to register.

Madeline's Tea House Mysteries
A local author, Windsor Locks' own Leslie Matthews Stansfield, returns to the
library on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 PM to discuss her first cozy mystery, Mr. Tea & the Traveling
Teacup. This initial book in the Madeline's Tea House series has been
described by Amazon.com readers as "a delightful encounter that happened to be a
book" and "a nice mix of mystery, spookiness and humor." Leslie will introduce
us to teahouse proprietors Terry and Karen Sutter, who have opened their new
business in their childhood home, and to Mr. Tea, a psychic macaw that will
leave you laughing! Join us for an hour of mystery and fun with Leslie and her
characters. I've read the book and Iiked it! If you are interested in more information, visit http://wlplreaders.blogspot.com/ for my review. Copies of Mr. Tea & the Traveling Tea Cup will be available for
sale and signing after the program. Please call 860-627-1495 to register.

Explores Connecticut, invites readers to "join me on adventures
discovering drive-in theaters, Quonset huts, old growth forests, cider mills,
ghost towns, roadside springs, Nike missile sites, neglected graveyards and many
other quirky wonders. Hidden in Plain Sight explores
my home turf of Connecticut, but the method of deep travel and the kinds of
objects and phenomena awaiting discovery can be found anywhere. You just have to
look! This book will teach you how." Join Mr. Leff as he describes how to "see
the magic in the mundane," enriching our lives by finding the importance in
commonplace things and places around us. The program will include a PowerPoint
